Romanian company IOR Valdada optics has been making quality optics since the mid 1930s.
At WW2 the company was drafted by German forces.
During the war they produced a wide range of military optics.
When Romania was absorbed into the Warsaw Pact, IOR Valdada became a major supplier to the military forces of the East.
Along with the Carl Zeiss firm, IOR supplied military grade optics throughout the cold war era.
The red dot is designed to qickly target field targets. The bright spot projected by the viewer is perceived only by eye of the tracer being undetectable from the target.
The Red dot viewfinderis a fast-aiming optical device based on the "free parallax" principle for a limited distance, attractive to both eyes. The line of sight is obtained by keeping the spot on the target, regardless of itsposition on the target screen.

The electronic system consists of a red dot.shaped light source, a battery pack and a buttonto adjust the brightnes of the light source.
The mechanical system consists of the mainly body and the mechanismus for adjusting and aligning the light point with the weapon.
