Böker knife M4 Sherman Damast, for collectors ww2

The impressive Boker Tiger Damascus expands the series of pocket knives steeped in history with a very special model. The collector's knife with a historical past is a real piece of living history and combines high-quality craftsmanship with authentic materials.

The linear Boker Tiger Damascus is equipped with a unique Damascus blade made from the steel of the battle tank destroyed at Bauska. Hand forged by Chad Nichols in the Intrepid pattern, the non-stainless mosaic damask evokes the armor marks left in the ground by the tiger's heavy tracks. In contrast to conventional damask, no layers are created in the production of mosaic damask, but complex damask bars are forged by hand in a complex and very complicated process to form a mosaic.

Together with the Americans in Wartime Museum in Virginia, we have managed to preserve an important piece of lost history. The Boker Sherman Damascus features a unique Damascus blade forged from various materials from the production of M4 Sherman tanks previously restored by the museum. Hand forged by Chad Nichols in a Customized Ladder pattern, the unique 80-layer Damascus is reminiscent of the armor marks left in the ground by the heavy tracks of the M4 Sherman. The ball-bearing blade is opened with a thumb stud and locked by a sturdy steel frame lock, a Hinderer Lock-Stop acts as overextension protection for the lock.

The overall shape of the knife pays homage to the tank's aesthetic lines, while the decorative blade pivot bolt mimics the distinctive main drive sprocket. The slightly contoured handle made of jute micarta is comfortable to hold and the color is reminiscent of the camouflage finish used by both the US Army and the Marine Corps. With lanyard hole and practical deep-carry clip (tip-up/r). Handcrafted in the Boker knife factory in Solingen. Delivery with elegant floating display, certificate of authenticity and individual serial number.

The extraordinary Boker M4 Sherman Damascus is a piece of living history and combines high-quality craftsmanship with historical materials. The American M4 Sherman was designed in 1940 and is still considered one of the most famous tanks in history. Produced between 1942 and 1945, it entered service until 1957 and saw action in all the battlefields of World War II - not just the United States and Canada, but also Britain, the Free French Forces, China and even the Soviet Union.

Originally designed to replace the M3 Grant/Lee medium tank, the Sherman tank's primary role was to support infantry, direct attacks, and reinforce defensive positions. The Sherman was built almost 50,000 times and is the most frequently used tank by the Allies in World War II. It was manufactured in countless application-specific variations and used well into the Cold War.
