The Ermenrich LR1500 laser rangefinder is designed for measuring the distance to an object over a very long distance up to 1500m (4920ft). Three parameters can be measured: distance, angle, and speed. It is also possible to observe at 6x magnification by using the instrument as a standard monocular. The high measurement accuracy of the rangefinder enables it to be applied in a variety of situations – on large construction sites, when camping to find landmarks, when hunting to track down game, etc.
The Ermenrich LR1500 laser rangefinder is capable of both single distance and continuous measurements. The continuous measurements mode is called the scan mode and shall be used when working on moving targets. There is a slope mode used for playing golf and a flagpole lock mode to measure the distance to small objects that are difficult to recognize in the background. The examples of such targets are flags on the sports field, poles, and power transmission poles in rough terrain. When the target is locked in place, the device will vibrate.
The device is comfortable to hold and easy to carry around thanks to its low weight. However, as it has a standard thread, it can also be mounted on a tripod. The rangefinder is powered by two standard batteries and has an auto-off function to save power.
