The Leo Köhler company was founded in 1927 in Poppenhausen, Germany (supplier to the German Bundeswehr).
From 1927 to today, the Leo Köhler company has produced work and service clothing under its own name. Initially, this included work and protective suits as well as uniforms. At the end of the 1950s, field clothing for Bundeswehr soldiers was added and for several years now the collection has included clothing for work, hobbies and leisure.

The Leo Köhler poncho offers protection against wind and weather thanks to the extremely robust and at the same time lightweight ripstop material. In addition, this poncho also offers the possibility of carrying equipment with you! For this purpose, there is a large belly pocket in which you can carry smaller equipment and, for example, maps and always have them easily to hand. At the same time, this bag also functions as a stuff sack! This means that if you don't need the poncho, you simply roll it up and close it in on itself. This means you can conveniently stow it in your backpack. There is a large opening on the front of the poncho through which you can access equipment that you wear under the poncho, for example. The openings on the sleeves provide access to sleeve pockets of a jacket under the poncho. As usual, there is also the option of attaching patches to the sleeves, thanks to the generous Velcro surfaces. The hood can be individually adjusted to the wearer's needs using a Velcro fastener.
